Does Positivity Mediate the Relation of Extraversion and Neuroticism with Subjective Happiness?

Three elements of positivity (self-esteem, optimism, and satisfaction with life) are strongly related to subjective happiness, and can be increased with psychotherapy. Happiness may thus be improved by focusing on positivity, rather than trying to change core personality traits such as extraversion or neuroticism, which are poorly malleable.  (PLoS One. 2015 Mar 17;10(3):e0121991)
